Not that many updates here lately, but everything is moving along at a steady pace. Lately, I’ve been working on the visual novel character animations, which you can see demonstrated in a series of videos, starting from here :
Hopefully by this time next week I’ll be able to say Carrion Wind is fully animated! Still missing are two more grapple moves. And then, debugging, debugging, debugging. And other neat graphical stuff for the audience.

Start of the implementation for Carrion Wind: There are only her damaged and ground hit animations done/working, so there’s still quite a way to go. In no particular order: -her jumping and air hits -her air special attack -the idle and ground stances -the special occurrences animations: match intro, victory,…
A game over screen that’s actually part of the main flow! If you find a match too hard to your liking, you can always take the loss, escape and return later after having trained more. Or if you get unmasked, that’s really game over.
What’s new: new and improved hit effects! We’ve got a few more basic hit effects, directional hit effects, and smoke effects on ground contact. I’m particularly glad to have the smoke be correctly in front/behind the characters to create a bit of depth, as I’m using separate front and back…
